Following
with the British culture, I am going to write about one of the most famous punk
rock English bands: The Sex Pistols and their song God Save The Queen.
In 1975
there was a clothes shop named Sex in Kings Road, London. Some of those who
used to hang out in that shop where members of a music band named The Stand and
they were looking for a new lead singer. After auditioning many people they
ended up choosing Johnny Rotten.
They all
played their first gig as the Sex Pistols on the 6th of November,
1975. And in 1976 just at the start of the Punk Rock movement they played in the
Lesser Free Trade Hall.
After
serious problems with the records and the workers at the pressing plant, on the
27th of May, 1977 the famous single of the Sex Pistols God Save The Queen was
released. The single became the most censored song in British
history.
Although it
was not their only single, they released other nineteen and fourteen albums, it
is the most famous one.
Here you
have it, listen and enjoy!
